In October 2007, Welshampton CE Primary School was accredited a Safer School. This is a security/safety initiative and fifteen years later, Mr Crompton and his governors continue their enthusiastic involvement. Recently we held an annual Safer School meeting to update the process and it was excellent. A thorough meeting, covering all aspects of the security/safety process. This included a pro-active approach to security/safety, consultation with parents/carers/pupils through a survey, reflecting on any school issues and planning for the future. Overwhelmingly, the survey results were extremely reassuring and many compliments. The school is continually looking to improve and further work is being planned. The school was presented with an updated Safer School certificate and a future meeting is planned for 2023. Excellent!
